Why this work
matters to me.

My partner is on the water before 5am during lobster season. I'm home with three kids under eight, building a business and a homestead from 110 acres in rural Nova Scotia. I know what it actually means to need your family protected, not just to have a policy.

When I stepped into this industry, I knew I didn't want to build just a business. I wanted to build a safe haven. A place where families could have honest conversations about their financial future without pressure, without confusion, and without feeling like a number in someone's pipeline.

Is this MLM?

No. I'm a licensed insurance advisor through Experior Financial Group. I earn commission for policies I place and overrides when advisors on my team place policies, similar to how a real estate brokerage works. Nobody pays to join. Nobody buys products to participate. I'd rather you ask the hard questions now than be surprised later.

Do I need experience in insurance or finance?

No prior experience is required. I provide full training, mentorship, and licensing support. You need drive, values, and a genuine desire to help families. The knowledge part, I can teach.

Is licensing required?

Yes, you need to be licensed to sell insurance products. I walk you through the entire licensing process. Most people are fully licensed and ready to see clients within 8–10 weeks of starting.

Can I do this part-time?

Yes. Many advisors start part-time alongside existing commitments, kids, another job, mat leave. The schedule is genuinely flexible. What you put in shapes what you get out.

What does a client appointment actually feel like?

Like having a conversation over coffee with someone who actually listens. No jargon. No pressure. No script that feels like a script. I ask real questions and I make sure every family walks away feeling seen, not sold to. Kids welcome to pop in. Seriously.

What if I'm just curious and not ready to commit?

That's completely okay. Book a career chat, it's just a conversation. If it's not the right fit, I'll tell you that too. I'd rather you have the honest information than wonder.
